The story so far…

CAHSC was formed in 2008 by a group of interested adult social care employers and trainers who were committed to furthering the development of the social care workforce.

It was initially integrated into the Cornwall County Council Learning, Training and Development Unit, but is now independent of the County Council.

CAHSC has been successful in obtaining Objective One and Convergence Funding together with funding through Skills for Care, the sector skills organisation for adult social care. We have distributed this funding to eligible organisations throughout the sector.

Moving forwards…

CAHSC’s main focus has historically been to support workforce development in the adult social care sector by securing and distributing funding for learning, training and development.

With ever-growing membership, CAHSC will now seek to address a broader brief; serving the needs of the wider adult social care community.

We’re continuing our commitment to improving the adult social care workforce , with the ultimate aim of achieving the best outcomes for those who use adult social care services.
