Cornwall national lead ASC-WDS
Cornwall are now the lead nationally for Adult Social Care – Workforce Data Set (ASC-WDS) compliance. We are first out of 150 local authorities, with 68.9% compliance. ASC-WDS is the lead data that informs the Department of Health and Social Care and consequently the Whitehall decision making process, so is incredibly important.
Thank you to our care providers for the hard work and committment they have shown to completing the ASC-WDS.
If you have not yet registered for ASC-WDS, you can easily set up a free account here:https://asc-wds.skillsforcare.org.uk/login
If you would like more support or help in completing the workforce data set, please contact Elaine Dyer on [email protected]

Care Friends nationwide launch
Following a successful EU-funded pilot in Cornwall in 2019, supported by CAHSC Learning Partnership, the app has now launched nationwide to great response from UK employers big and small.
The app will help care sector employers in recruiting and retaining staff with the right values at a time when growing the care workforce has never been more crucial.
By allowing care workers to share jobs with their friends and contacts straight from their phone, earning points instantly at each stage of the referral process, the app overcomes the limitations of traditional refer-a-friend schemes.
You can learn more about the app and book a live demonstration here: www.carefriends.co.uk.
